Boy have we had a crazy few months!! Naomi Lynn Martin was welcomed into the family on April 5, 2008 with Grampy Martin on hand for several days. He came home ecstatic!! She makes the official Martin-Meurer grandkid count at 6 with one more coming in September.
There is a song my dear friend Beth Brokaw loves that includes the lyric "help me love those you have given me to Love". That really gives a different take on our selfish society view that we "choose" who we love all on our own energy, time and decision.
Who in your family challenges your ability to love?
In religious communities, it is said that all "families" or "Religious Communities" must have at least one "difficult" member for all to grow. My first Spiritual Director explained it as all of us being rocks in a tumble. In order for all the rocks (ie US) to become beautiful, they must bang around, knocking off one another. The difficult family member or malshaped rock helps us become Beautiful.
